Committees are groups of owners that research a particular issue in order to make a recommendation to the board of directors for approval. If you are a renter and would like to join a committee it is required that you have the owner review and sign the final recommendation before it is submitted. The recommendation should be unanimous among the committee members. The committee does not have to be approved by the board or directors but it is recommended that the committee notify the board by either attending a bimonthly meeting or by sending an email to the board of directors. If the committee is to review a current servicing contract there should be at a minimum three bids/quotes and all of this documentation from each quote should be included in the final submission.

It is advised that there be one project leader that can address the board once a recommendation has been achieved. All documentation including bids/quotes should be printed for all board members to review and emailed to the management company. There should be a page at the end for all board members to either approve or deny the committee's recommendation (Example template). If there is a majority vote by the board of directors the recommendation will be approved and will be instated at the earliest time possible.

After the Board of directors has approved or denied the recommendation all of the documentation will be posted here. If you would like to start a committee or are interested in being on or starting a committee please send an email to the board of directors or attend the next HOA board meeting.

Everyone is encouraged to join a committee. If you have legal, accounting, contracting, construction, landscaping, maintenance, or other experience, your skills are needed!
